Liveable Neighbourhood
We are working with Islington Council on their Liveable Neighbourhood scheme and have provided feedback from our community on their plans.
The scheme hopes to create pleasant and lively streets, where communities can come together to spend time with their neighbours, support local shops and children can play and travel safely. With more greening including plants and trees, seating for neighbours and reduced traffic volumes, the liveable neighbourhood hopes to transform Mildmay’s streets.
After the public consultation on the final draft proposals for Mildmay on Monday 11 September & Sunday 8 October 2023, the council is going to consider all comments they received, and hopefully reach a final decision on what schemes they will deliver.
After a formal decision is on all or part of the scheme, the council hope to start work on building the Mildmay Liveable Neighbourhood in Spring 2024.
